I still refuse to acknowledge Grease being placed in nomination!

Flamingcurmudgeon - It was one of the best of the season and I'm grateful I saw it as often as I did. I expected to enjoy it, but not to love it. The marketing, or lack thereof, was horrendous.

Linda - I knew there was a special event type show I was forgetting. I guess, though, it will place Scott in line for another Best Actress Tony nomination. I hope all these shows are remembered for awards. And could there be a worse year to do away with the theatrical event category? Everyday Rapture would fit in that category as well.Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15341231489185317489noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9054015418191023896.post-39136302502272993672010-04-21T22:06:19.027-04:002010-04-21T22:06:19.027-04:00I'm still flummoxed by the closing of RAGTIME....I'm still flummoxed by the closing of RAGTIME. One of the most outstanding, breathtaking productions one could hope for. I met one of the many producers and praised her for bringing it to Broadway and tried to get a reason for its closing. She said, "there just weren't enough people like you." And I thought, this woman should not be producing theatre if she thinks people will just COME to the show. How about some advanced publicity and better artwork! It enrages me. Sorry for blathering.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9054015418191023896.post-28810284493911672082010-04-21T21:27:59.044-04:002010-04-21T21:27:59.044-04:00And the Tony Committee doesn't have to nominat...And the Tony Committee doesn't have to nominate Bye Bye Birdie! I just figured this out and I was very delighted. This isn't like the year they had to nominate GreaseMonica Reidahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05226851228295746754noreply@blogger.com
